LEIF SHIFT: Prototype Theta

LEIF SHIFT is a 2.5D action-packed, story-driven action adventure game featuring fast-paced combat and movement. It is also heavily inspired by popular metroidvania games.

LEIF SHIFT: Prototype Theta is essentially a "pilot" of the game as a concept, testing out the various features and allowing people to try it out, all for free!

Story:

The story takes place aboard a massive space station, where the protagonist "Patch" has to address unusual problems. Higher-ups have given our protagonist the instruction to repair a malfunctioning Communications Beacon. For some reason, communications have been cut off throughout the station, and it is your job to figure out the cause.

Traverse the Omniforge and search for the beacon while learning more about the situation as you go.

In Prototype Theta, we explore part of the space station and run into signs pointing to the origin of the numerous malfunctions

Gameplay:

• Run, Dash, Jump and Fight your way through obstacles!
• Solve puzzles using the peculiar technologies found aboard the station!
• Combat different enemies and powerful foes using a vast arsenal of normal attacks, special moves and supers!
• Collect various items and upgrade your abilities to grow stronger as the game progresses!
• Practice in the game's Training Room to learn different combos to overwhelm your foes!
• Play around with versus mode and see how many foes you can defeat!
• Learn more about the Omniforge, as you explore the different Sectors aboard the station and interact with characters and objects!

Art:

• Engage in both combat and dialogue with various entities featuring high resolution artwork, special super cut-ins and character portraits made by our concept artist @Cei !

Music:

• Listen to the many soundtracks composed by @1-H and experience the action together with dynamic music throughout the game!
• The currently unfinished OST already contains several hours of music! (Including alt. dynamic variants)

Splitscreen Mode:

• Play together with a friend if you want to take on the game's story mode with another player and overcome the challenges together!
• Duke it out in a 1v1 versus mode to see who's the best!
